Natalie Tribett, Owner and Head Trainer

Natalie has devoted the greater part of her life to the art and discipline of Dressage, beginning her riding journey at the age of five and cultivating a lifelong passion for horses. Over the years, she has distinguished herself through the achievement of her Bronze Medal, Silver Medal with Distinction, and completed the L Program as an L Graduate with Distinction - accomplishments that have both deepened and broadened her understanding of the sport.

Her appreciation for horses extends well beyond competition, grounded in a profound respect for the true horsemanship. Natalie is especially drawn to Dressage for its ability to develop a thoughtful, harmonious connection between horse and rider - one that translates seamlessly across all disciplines. She has helped many riders achieve their own goals from learning basic horsemanship skills to successfully riding through FEI.

As the owner and operator of her farm in Rocky Point, NC Natalie is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and continues to travel in support of other riders' growth and development. She brings a genuine enthusiasm to her teaching, paired with a balanced approach that is both encouraging and constructively insightful. Through thoughtfully designed exercises and clear, attainable objectives, Natalie ensures that each lesson provides riders with meaningful progress and a confident path forward.

Savannah McMurry, Assistant Trainer

Savannah has pursued her passion for horses since she was three, that has created a lifelong passion that has shaped her equestrian journey. She began in the Hunter/Jumper arena before transitioning to Eventing through the United States Pony Club, where she ultimately graduated with her H-B rating - an achievement that reflects both her riding proficiency and comprehensive foundation in horsemanship.

In her adult career, Savannah has developed a deep appreciation for Dressage under the guidance of accomplished trainers, refining her skills and expanding her perspective within the discipline. In 2021, she stepped into a professional role, dedicating herself to sharing her knowledge through instruction and the thoughtful development of green horses. In 2024, she earned her USDF Bronze Medal aboard Aftyn, a testament to her commitment and skill.

Today, Savannah serves as Assistant Trainer at Laughing Dog Farm, where she works closely alongside Natalie while also traveling locally to support her own students and horses in training. Her approach is grounded in a genuine love for the horse, complemented by a continued dedication to education, competition, and the ongoing refinement of her craft.

Joe is the heart behind Laughing Dog Farm - the reason it came to life and continues to thrive. Fifteen years ago, we found one another, and in that time, he has become family in the truest sense of the word. Joe lives here on the property with us, and we wouldn't have it any other way. His presence is woven into the rhythm of this place and the life we've built. Sometimes, the deepest bonds are not defined by blood, but by choice - and in that choosing, they become all the more meaningful.

This beautiful life is meant to be shared with those you love. With his unwavering support, my husband Matt serves as the foundation that makes this full and demanding lifestyle not only possible, but deeply rewarding. Together, we are intentional in creating a life rooted by horses, chickens, and dogs - a setting that reflects what matters most to us. We are equally grateful to have my parents, Tricia and Rich just down the road, whose constant presence and generosity invaluable support both on the farm and in the day-to-day care of our precious children. Their impact is not just seen, it is deeply felt, every single day.

Our 4 legged companions are an integral part of the welcoming committee here on the farm. As you arrive, you will likely be greeted first by Oly, our steadfast pack leader, with Roux and Olive close behind. Their presence brings a sense of warmth and joy that is deeply felt by all who spend time here.
